AC Shadows Introduces Surprising Attack on Titan Collaboration for Holiday Season

In a unexpected partnership that defies traditional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Revealed

According to the formal statement, "An unusual encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where rumors of prohibited practices and fearsome changes echo through the obscurity." The plot features a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine sect.

The mission focuses on "strange trials and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses

The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a striking scene showing a character, presumably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Additional Features

Players who accomplish the mission will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Third Free Story Addition
