I will stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.

Ex twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually happening.
